October 2024
What brings you joy?
When do you feel happiest?
What are you doing? Where? With whom?
How can you best nourish joy and happiness in your life and within yourself?
These are the questions that have been at the fore this month—and oh, have they been hard to ignore! Everything that has been happening lately has brought you back to an inquiry of joy and pleasure. But even more than raising the question, the answers are being served to you on a gilded platter: eat they say, partake.
Clarity is sounding like a bell within you. These internal reverberations aren’t telling you anything you don’t already know. These are familiar chimes you’ve heard before but, perhaps, you’ve repeatedly chosen to dampen your listening—you’ve chosen to sidestep. You’ve lost your footing by ignoring these rumblings inside you, but now is the time to fight your fear and find your feet. This time—yes, this time—this is the time that you’re ready to finally digest the delicious wisdom in front of you. You’re ready to heed—you’re ready to partake and nourish yourself on the intuitive knowledge that resounds from your depths.
You’re done sacrificing yourself to anything that doesn’t ring with joy or light you up from within. You’re done giving yourself away.
Clarity. 20/20: unmistakeable. It is with brilliant eyes that you are surveying everything that is holding you back from living in and with your joy. The people who can’t meet you there; those that hold you back. That space or situation that you’ve outgrown and have been having trouble leaving. Anything that just doesn’t resonate with you any longer. It’s all gotta go.
Sayonara. Adios. Goodbye. We’re done. We’re moving on and that’s that.
It’s okay to move on without anything or anyone that can’t come with you at this time. It’s okay to move on without anything or anyone that can’t come with you at this time. We all have our own challenges, our own pace. It’s okay. Move on.
You’re through being off-kilter. Through trying to traverse the already bumpy road of life with deflated wheels and broken suspension. All that you see and have experienced this month has brought you back to the vital knowledge that in order to traverse your life, you have to remember that you and no other are your center. You are the spoke of the wheel that enables your movement, momentum, freedom, pleasure, and play. Powerful co-creation with the divine can only begin when you are firmly embedded within yourself. Choose yourself. Check in with yourself. Tend to and care for—support yourself. It is only in beginning with ourselves in this way that we are able to incorporate and encounter others in a manner that is meaningful and aligned.
Stop giving yourself away. When you do, you give away too much. Shore up your boundaries: sacrifice is an impoverished expression of love. Let respect and care guide the love you show yourself and let this self-love model how you share this love with the people, places, and things around you. Everyone involved deserves better, you most of all.
